Lee Watkinson Wins Aussie Millions, Event #7, $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha

Lee Watkinson made his first appearance at the 2008 Aussie Millions and came away with a win in the $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha event. Rebuys were allowed throughout the first two levels of play along with one $3,000 add-on at the end of the second level. There were 65 players in the tournament, and a total of 107 rebuys. The prize pool expanded until it reached $516,000.

Bertrand Grospellier Wins EPT Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure

The 2007 Card Player Player of the Year David “The Dragon” Pham took the chip lead into the final table at the 2008 European Poker Tour Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure, but “The Dragon” fell short as Frenchman Bertrand Grospellier slew the dragon and rode on to become the champion.

World Poker Tour Announces WPT Ladies’ League

The World Poker Tour has always been a large supporter of women’s poker, and they have taken another step towards improving the reputation and recognition of women’s poker by creating the World Poker Tour Ladies’ League, the WPTL.
