Highlights:
- Good poker action for low to mid limit players.
- Large selection of freerolls,
- Fast customer support team.
Poker.com specializes in providing games for low to mid limit players. It’s rare to find full games running above 10/20 or above. This has its advantages because when players go on tilt, they normally climb to the highest limit possible to donate their money. Instead, now the money stays in, with the low to mid limit players, making the games much better.
Mac Poker.com Software:
Poker.com currently shows no plans to release Mac software. If you’re looking for a poker room to play on your mac, you visit the Mac poker section, or follow the Mac poker news updates.
Windows Poker.com Software
Poker.com has innovative software compared to other online poker rooms, but it could use some work. I really like how you can customize the software to fit your preferences. The main drawback is that experienced players who want to multi table might find the software a bit distracting.
The poker software lets you choose between having the poker table open up in one window or individually. If you choose to have the tables open up in one window, players with smaller monitors will be able to multi table with no overlap. You also have the option to customize sounds, animation, avatars, and a few other things to better your playing experience.
Poker.com Freerolls, Bonus, and Promotions:
They offer a 100% up to $200 deposit bonus to all of their players, but poker.com is really all about pushing their freerolls. Poker.com has $50,000 monthly freerolls, $10,000 weekly freerolls, $2,000 weekly freerolls, $1,000 daily freerolls, and $50 freerolls every two hours. Phew!
Everything isn’t free at poker.com though. In order to get into the larger freerolls, you have to put in some time in their real money tables.
Traffic:
Poker.com is a small to medium sized online poker room. At peak hours they can rarely exceed 7500 players. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you enjoy low limit games up to 5/10 – it keeps the money circulating, rather then reaching the high limit pros. But if you’re looking for 10/20 action and up, I’d suggest a different —-poker room
Competition:
Since poker.com focuses on bringing in new poker players, rather then bringing players from other poker rooms with rakeback promotions, the games are very soft. Many of the players are just trying to roll up enough points in the cash games to get entries into their freerolls.
Support:
The Poker.com support team is very good. When I send them an email I usually get a reply within a half hour – record timing! They’re very personal and try to understand and relate to your problems. I give poker.com’s support an A.
