Harrah’s Entertainment has announced that players can now pre-register for events at this year’s World Series of Poker. Pre-Registration may be done online at the official website of the WSOP, www.worldseriesofpoker.com, or by going to the cashier’s cage at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the site of all the WSOP events.
The World Series of Poker runs from May 30th to July 16th, with 55 events spanning that length of time. Pre-registration is open for all events and will remain open until two weeks prior to the start time of the event. The WSOP website has entry forms available for download in PDF format, which requires the Adobe Acrobat software to view. Completed entry forms can be mailed or faxed to the Rio, and players will only need to show proof of their identity at the Rio to complete their registration before the event begins.
Jack Effel, the WSOP tournament director, is strongly encouraging players to pre-register for the WSOP events, as there will be no alternates for any of the events, so pre-registering early is the only way for a player to guarantee that they will have a seat in the event.
The acceptable payment types are the same as they have been in years past: cash, cashier’s check, wire transfer, and Rio casino chips.
