It has been running for three successful season and is now going to go for successful season number four. Poker After Dark is once again going to air on NBC’s late night lineup when it has its season premiere on July 14th. The show will not look the same though when it premiere’s and the reason is because viewers have been responding that the original layout of six players buying into a winner takes all match is getting a little boring and they would like something different. Well the producers have been listening and will respond with the first week being a no-limit cash game match with six high stakes players. The players that will be involved are some of the most well known players in the game of poker and they are “The Poker Brat” Phil Hellmuth, five time bracelet winner Allen Cunningham, and the young phenom Tom “Durrrr” Dwan. The other players that will be playing are not ones that are shy to high stakes no limit game and they are Guy Laliberte, the founder of Cirque de Soleil, Mike Baxter, and David “Viffer” Peat.
The layout of the match will be a $200/$400 no limit cash game with a minimum buy-in of $100,000 and a max buy-in of $250,000 and a minimum re-buy of $50,000. With the players that will be playing this game will be littered with straddles, raises, re-raises and just maybe a couple all-ins. You will be able to catch all this action on NBC which will air the Poker After Dark episodes beginning at 2:05 a.m. ET.
This season on Poker After Dark is going to be an exciting and interesting one to watch to see who is going to play for thousands upon thousands of dollars. Also Poker After Dark will be introducing a new host to the show and her name is Leeann Tweeden and if she is like any of the other hosts then I guarantee she will be sight for sore eyes.
