Think for a minute and ask yourself if an executive of a company verbally offered you a chance to endorse the company and an oral agreement was struck, then later withdrawn, would you do everything you could to make it right. Well that is exactly what poker professional Clonie Gowen is doing right now. Earlier last week Clonie Gowen filed a lawsuit against the company Tiltware, LLC. and the online poker room Full Tilt Poker for reasons of Breach of Contract, Breach of Fiduciary Duty, Breach of the Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing, Unjust Enrichment and Fraud. These accusations come from an alleged meeting that took place over the phone between Clonie Gowen and executives of Tiltware, LLC. Supposedly during these telephone conferences there was oral agreements reached between the two parties for Clonie Gowen to endorse Full Tilt Poker. Well later on Clonie Gowen was informed that she will no longer represent the online poker giant and both her name and image will removed from the website immediately.
When taking a look at the filing of the lawsuit, it states that she has named Tiltware, LLC., Full Tilt Poker and other poker professionals that are considered to be on Team Full Tilt. These players are Howard Lederer, Andy Bloch, Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, John Juanda, Phil Gordon, Erick Lindgren, Erik Seidel, Jennifer Harman-Traniello, Mike Matusow, Allen Cunningham, Gus Hansen and Patrik Antonius. Also another note to tell you about is that Clonie Gowen is seeking an astonishing $40 million. Do I honestly think she will receive $40 million let alone anything. Well I believe she will get some compensation but no where near her $40 million asking price.
Written below is a statement that was released by the executives of Tiltware, LLC.
“Tiltware, LLC, has been made aware of the recent filing of a meritless lawsuit by a former Full Tilt Poker endorser — Ms. Cycalona Gowen. All claims have no merit and there are many inaccuracies improperly and unlawfully asserted by Ms. Gowen within her frivolous complaint. Tiltware LLC expects that this lawsuit will be dealt with accordingly by a competent court in due course.”
