On Friday, October 8, for the first time ever, iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch owners were playing online poker on their favorite Apple mobile device.
This weekend Switch Poker went live, offering the first site playable from your latest Mac Store purchase. The company stated that “if major sites are happy to leave their customers wanting, we would satiate the need for mobile poker for them,” and released a game you won’t find in the App Store. Just head to SwitchPoker.com to try out browser based poker.
Real money cash tables start at 1c/2c (EUR) and go up from there. Switch Poker is not accepting deposits from US players as of yet, but don’t be afraid of trying the play money tables. Deposit options include Visa/MasterCard and Moneybookers, with more payment options, such as Neteller, to be available in the future.
Six-max No Limit Hold’em is you only choice as of launch, but the addition of Heads-up, 9-handed ring games, Sit & Gos, MTTs, Pot Limit Omaha and more have been discussed. Switch Poker is also available to players on all modern Mac & PC browsers (Firefox/IE8&9/Safari/Chrome/Opera), in case your iPad is in the shop.
Switch Poker is also giving away free Apple goodies! The first 250 depositors of €50 or more who enter the bonus code ‘FREEIPOD’ will get a free iPod Touch, while the first 100 depositors of €150 or more who use the bonus code ‘FREEIPAD’ will get a free iPad. Now grab your nearest Apple mobile device and head to SwitchPoker.com to get in on the action.
In addition, you could read an older post in regards to iPhone Poker – where we mention the late Full Tilt Poker (remember, Full Tilt closed it’s doors post Black Friday on April 15th, 2011, so your best alternative for iPhone Poker is Switch Poker).
