Phil Ivey is one of the worlds premier poker players. At the 2-7 lowball no-limit event he showed it. With a tournament field of 147 he players, he out played all of them to win his 6th bracelet. Going into the final table with a dwindling chip stack and few hopes of winning his 6th bracelet, he made his charge. Monnette at one time was the large chip leader, but Phil came back and chipped away into a huge stack for himself. Monnette then proceeded to climb back into it with a 3:2 chip disadvantage, but that would be as close as he could get. Ivey put him away to win his 6th bracelet and winning the first place prize pool of a little over $91k. Additionally, Phil inevitably won some side bets with good friends. Phil didn’t have too much time to talk about his win as he was already registered for the $10k mixedhold’em event.
